Perth is the capital of the biggest state in Australia and the hub to all sorts of entertainments such as theatres, movies, restaurants and nightclubs. Perth has been known as one of the most beautiful city in the world. The reason behind is that Perth is situated on the bank of Swan River and there are Kings Park which is the world’s largest city park located just about 5 minutes away from central city of Perth.

Fremantle is the one of the most visited tourist place around Perth. The most renowned place should be Fremantle Market. Fremantle Market is the lively market open only weekend. Another popular tourist spot is Fremantle prison as we can go into the prison and take prison tours with guides. We highly recommend the night tour. Fremantle also has a unique street nicknamed as cappuccino strip as many cafes are located on both sides of the street.

Rottnest Island is a holiday resort island situated about 18 km offshore from Fremantle. Rottnest Island has became famous because of unique small marsupials called Quokka. Quokkas are rat-like animal which hop around when they move. Many local people and visitors go there to enjoy marine activities such as scuba diving, surfing and fishing. We can stay Rottnest Island overnights and cycle around the island or catch busses.

Carnac Island is a nature reserve island located about 10 km from Fremantle. Carnac Island is home of many species of wild animals. The reason Carnac Island has became popular to tourists is due to sea lions. Many wild sea lions normally lie on the beach. If you are lucky, you can even swim with them, though we have to maintain certain distance from them. Unfortunately, there is no public transport to the island. Joining tours tend to be the only option for tourists.

Penguin Island is awesome place to get in touch with wild animals. As the name suggests us, many wild penguins inhabit in Penguin Island. Most of the penguins tend to hide under rocks and bridges as they do not like hot weather and direct sun light. If you could not find any penguins on the island, you can always go to Penguin Discovery Centre. Penguin Island is a home to the largest colony of pelicans.

Swan Valley is the oldest wine growing region in Western Australia and only 25 minutes away from Perth city. Swan Valley is a great place to gateway as there are over 100 wineries. Most of the wineries offers you free wine tasting and there are many award-winning wineries waiting for you. As lots of wineries have their own restaurants, you can enjoy meals with their wines and overlook vine yards.

York is an important historical town where Victorian and Federation buildings still stand. York is located on the banks of the Avon River and only about 50 minutes drive from Perth. One of the York’s most well-known picture spots is York Town Hall. It was built in 1911, since then the town hall has been in York in good condition. There are also many historical buildings such as St Patrick's Church, Uniting Church, Holy Trinity Church and Old York Hospital.

New Norcia is a very unique small town where we can find beautifully architectured buildings with Spanish influence. It is the place for the Spanish religious settlement. The highlight of the New Norcia should be the time we can spend with monks. The monks welcome visitors and we can join them for their preys. As there is a Monastery Guest House, we can also stay New Norcia overnight. The other things we should not miss out there is visiting the New Norcia Museum and Art Gallery as they display the treasures of the monastery daily.
